The Studio:

The Kit:
- Rode NT2A Mic with Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB interface
- Soundcraft EPM6 mixer with a PDM-300 desk mic for in-booth communications
- Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro (80 OHM) headphones
The Connection:
- Source Nexus
- Cleanfeed, ipDTL and other online bridge facilities
- Teams, Skype, Google hangouts etc.
The Finished Product:
- I use Reaper for audio production
- Recording formats including MP3, WAV and AIFF
- Super fast FTP file sharing services
MY MINIMUM RATES
I work fast and have a quick turnaround for voiceover work as I have my own studio. This saves you time and money. As a registered British Equity member I follow standard Equity price guidelines. It’s important to me that I’m fair, reasonable and competitive when quoting for voice acting.
From commercials to corporates, e-learning to telephone systems – each part of the industry uses a different costing system.

My BSF (Basic Studio Fee) is £300
- TV Commercials voiceover
Session fee and usage paid according to TVRs (TV Ratings). Session fee minimum £300. Use UsefeeTV for the best online calculator. - Online and Social Media Commercials
Online commercials are based on my BSF plus impressions data. UsefeeTV is the best online calculator – plug in your numbers and it will tell you the cost. - Radio Commercials
Session fee plus usage paid according to the stations it will be broadcast on. Send me the list of the stations and I can give you a quote. - Corporate voiceover
I’d charge my BSF for internal work. If it’s being used online there would be additional fees depending on where its being used (usage) and for low long (licence). - Educational voiceover
A rough guide is to budget for 24p per word. I have a sliding scale charge system based on word count. The longer the script – the lower the per word rate. Obviously where you intend to broadcast or distribute can make a difference too. - Telephony (on-hold, IVR)
A voicemail message is totally different to a massive phone system! So, I have a £50 minimum order. - Audio drama
This hugely depends on where and how it will be published. Best just to pop me an email. - Audio books
These are charged by the finished hour – my rates start at £190pfh.
